Announcement of AgriVET Project in Ghana

MBC Africa  is pleased to announce that we are a partner in the AgriVET project, a consortium bringing together organisations across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa to strengthen vocational education and training across agri-food value chains.

The AgriVET project focuses on modernising agri-food training in Ghana, Nigeria, and Uganda, supporting the development of skilled Value Chain Managers and strengthening coordination across agribusiness systems. It promotes a shift in vocational education by bringing training closer to real business environments and developing skills profiles that connect different stages of the agribusiness process. This ensures that training systems evolve in line with sector needs.

Stronger value chains depend on people who understand how the system works as a whole. Skills are therefore no longer limited to production; they extend to logistics, market access, digital tools, and coordination across multiple actors.

The project brings together partners from Poland, Portugal, Italy, Ghana, Nigeria, and Uganda to co-develop more responsive and market-relevant vocational training systems. Through this collaboration, the consortium is strengthening skills development, improving value chain coordination, and supporting more inclusive and resilient agribusiness ecosystems.

Within this framework, MBC Africa contributes its expertise in entrepreneurship and business development, supporting the identification of skills needs and strengthening the link between training and real market demands.

The consortium includes Centrum Wspierania Edukacji i Przedsiębiorczości – CWEP (Poland), Citizens Information Development Initiative – CIDI (Nigeria), Community Women’s Enterprise Network – CWEN (Uganda), Centro de Apoio Tecnológico Agro Alimentar – CATAA (Portugal), EXEO Lab (Italy), and MBC Africa (Ghana).

At MBC Africa, we remain committed to our “Africa feeding Africa” vision, advancing stronger agribusiness systems through skills development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. We look forward to contributing to the successful implementation of this initiative.

The AgriVET project is co-funded by the European Union.
